The building itself s an architectural gem, a blend of early 20th-century styles, mainly Art Nouveau, featuring elements of the Jugendstil movement inside and outside with elegant facades and thoughtfully designed and colourful interiors. Franz von Stuck became a high profile in Munichs art landscape as a professor at the Munich Art Academy. He was ennobled 1905 and received further public honours from around Europe and was well respected among young artists. His students over the years included Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky and Josef Albers.
