Millesgården in Stockholm is a renowned art museum and sculpture garden founded by the Swedish sculptor Carl Milles (1875-1955). Located on the island of Lidingö, it features a remarkable collection of his sculptures, paintings, and decorative arts. The museum is set in a beautiful garden that overlooks the Baltic Sea, offering a peaceful and inspiring environment. Milles’ work often depicted mythological and historical themes. His sculptures are known for their dynamic forms and complex details. The significance of Milles’ designs lies in their ability to convey powerful emotions and ancient stories through art. His unique works can even been seen in public spaces in Sweden (among others the famous fountain in front of the Stockholm Concert Hall - see last picture ). His art has inspired countless artists. The park itself has a magical atmosphere - there couldn't be a better place to display the huge and majestic sculptures. Don´t miss it on your next trip to Sweden.
