Tapas: Mostra of Spanish Design

The Mostra Espanha 2015 was the fourth edition of the biennial cultural initiative launched by Spain's Ministry of Culture in 2009 to bring Spanish arts and creative industries to Portuguese audiences. Among the highlights of the 2015 program was a design exhibition titled "Tapas" held at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (SNBA) in Lisbon, alongside other events such as a photography exhibition by Nicolás Muller at the Fundação Luís I in Cascais, cultural dialogues and a presentation of the journal Turia at the Fundação Gulbenkian, and the CineFiesta Spanish film series in Lisbon and Porto. The overall initiative was organized by Spain's Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española (AC​/​E), the Instituto Cervantes, the governments of the autonomous communities of Galicia and Extremadura, and the Spanish Embassy in Lisbon. The SNBA, housed in the historic Palácio das Belas Artes, provided a prestigious setting for showcasing Spanish design to Lisbon audiences, reinforcing the cultural exchange goals at the heart of the Mostra Espanha biennial.
