House of Swedish Grace
Highlights on Swedish Grace, a variation of Art Deco in Sweden around 1920s.

This elegant building stands at the bustling intersection of Biblioteksgatan and Mäster Samuelsgatan in Stockholm, a premier fashion district renowned for its upscale shopping. While it houses flagship stores of many iconic brands, this post instead aims to shine a light on the architectural features that truly deserve recognition. Slide the photos to explore! The building itself is known as Kvasten 6. Constructed by the company Hufvudstaden and still in its ownership until today. The property was originally purchased by Ivar Kreuger (Hufvudstaden's founder) and his business partner Paul Toll in January 1915. The old building on the site was demolished to make way for the new construction as we see it today.
