Ramon Casas i Carbó
Barcelona artist Ramon Casas i Carbó (1866-1932) sketched and painted evocative portraits of intellectual, economic and political figures in Barcelona, Paris and Madrid around the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. As a graphic designer, his posters and postcards defined the Catalan art movement known as modernisme around the turn of the 20th century.
