Paul Klee (1879–1940) was a Swiss-German artist whose work is celebrated for its unique blend of color, form, and symbolism. As a member of the Bauhaus movement, Klee contributed significantly to modern art by blending abstract and figurative elements. His teaching and artistic experimentation at the Bauhaus, where he taught from 1921 to 1931, helped shape the school’s innovative approach to art and design. At the same time, Klee’s work was a key part of the Expressionist movement, known for its emotional depth and imaginative forms. His use of squares and lines, abstract shapes, and vibrant colors made his art deeply influential and uniquely expressive.
