Gallery of Tiffany Lamps at The NY Historical Museum

The Gallery of Tiffany Lamps is a permanent installation at the New York Historical on the Upper West Side. Housed in a dramatically lit, two-level space designed by architect Eva Jiřičná and connected by a glowing glass staircase, it displays around 100 illuminated Tiffany lamps from the museum's collection within a jewel-like setting, drawn from a broader holding of 132 pieces originally amassed by Egon and Hildegard Neustadt. The gallery pairs the lamps' visual splendor with historical context, and highlights the contributions of head designer Clara Driscoll and the "Tiffany Girls" of the Women's Glass Cutting Department. Beyond the lamps themselves, the gallery includes interactive elements — a hands-on "Design-a-lamp" experience among other features, alongside personal stories of the women who helped create the iconic Tiffany line, and it's frequently cited as the largest lit collection of Tiffany lamps on display anywhere in the world.
