Cannes Lions - Creativity and Technology: Which Comes First?
The Cannes Lions Review 2015 brought the international world of creative communication to Lisbon in October of that year, offering Portuguese audiences a chance to engage with the winning campaigns from one of the advertising industry's most prestigious global competitions. Promoted by MOP in association with FLAG, the event took place at the premises of the União de Associações do Comércio e Serviços (UACS), on Rua Castilho 14 in Lisbon. The theme of the 2015 edition was "Creativity and Technology: Which Comes First?" — an analogy for the two intersecting forces shaping the creative communications sector at the time. The event combined an exhibition of the prize-winning campaigns from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity with talks and debates on the key themes discussed at Cannes, covering topics such as Innovation & Technology, Mind & Soul, Brand Purpose, Creative Data, and Design Thinking. Speakers included figures such as João Santos, the creative director behind the Dove Real Beauty campaign, as well as specialists in digital marketing, data insights, and design thinking, alongside Portuguese professionals from the advertising and creative industries.
