Art Expo Spring 2026
Artexpo New York's 49th edition took place at Pier 36, on Manhattan's Lower East Side waterfront. The fair hosted more than 170 leading galleries, publishers, and independent artists, with attendees representing 24 countries viewing original works from over 1,000 artists spanning prints, paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, and ceramics. Exhibition space was organized across two pavilions, the main Artexpo Pavilion and the [SOLO] Pavilion. Founded in 1978, the fair is produced by Redwood Art Group and has historically hosted artists including Warhol, Rauschenberg, Haring, and Neiman. On the programming side, the floor plan layered a curatorial structure onto the commercial booths rather than functioning as undifferentiated trade-show space. Art Labs comprised site-specific installations and immersive projects built for the pier's industrial-scale footprint. The [SOLO] section specifically gave a platform to established and independent emerging artists, and a separate Discoveries Collection was curated by the Artexpo team as a cross-section of standout works pulled from across exhibitors. One notable site-specific presentation involved a kaleidoscopic transformation of floral photography into mandala-style circular compositions.
