The NY Library's Treasures - The Polonsky Exhibition
The Polonsky Exhibition of The New York Public Library's Treasures is a permanent, free exhibition housed in the stunning Gottesman Hall of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue. For the first time, it brings together some of the most extraordinary items drawn from the Library's more than 250 unique and rare items, spanning over 4,000 years of history and culled from the Library's research centers, including the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, the Library for the Performing Arts, and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The exhibition is a remarkable sweep through human history and culture. Highlights include artifacts of extraordinary national significance. The exhibition is designed to evolve, with items rotating to reflect the extraordinary breadth of the Library's holdings.
