Spectrum New York at the Tunnel
Spectrum New York 2013 was one of the prominent contemporary art fairs held during New York’s busy spring art season. Taking place at the historic Tunnel venue in Manhattan, the fair brought together emerging and established artists, galleries, and independent exhibitors from across the United States and abroad. Organized as part of the Redwood Media Group’s portfolio of art fairs, Spectrum emphasized accessibility and direct engagement between artists and collectors, creating an environment where visitors could discover new talent alongside more established contemporary practitioners. The fair featured a wide range of media, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and digital works, reflecting the diversity of the contemporary art market. A defining characteristic of Spectrum New York 2013 was its focus on innovation and artist-driven presentations. In addition to gallery booths, the fair included curated projects and special exhibitions that encouraged dialogue between artists, collectors, curators, and industry professionals. The event contributed to New York’s reputation as a global center for contemporary art by offering a dynamic snapshot of artistic trends and creative experimentation during a period of continued growth in the international art fair landscape.
