In 2017, Kingston University celebrated the re-establishment of the historic Kingston School of Art name with a series of graduate exhibitions that highlighted the institution’s long tradition of creative education. As part of London’s summer showcase season, student work from disciplines including fashion, graphic design, fine art, illustration, photography, architecture, and product design was presented to industry professionals and the public. The exhibitions emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and socially engaged design, reflecting the school's renewed identity and its commitment to shaping the future of contemporary creative practice. One of the most visible public presentations associated with Kingston School of Art in 2017 took place at the atmospheric Bargehouse within the Oxo Tower Wharf complex. The vast industrial interiors of the venue provided an ideal setting for large-scale installations, fashion presentations, and experimental projects, allowing emerging designers and artists to engage audiences beyond the traditional campus environment. Set against the cultural backdrop of London’s South Bank, the exhibition demonstrated the diversity of talent emerging from Kingston’s creative programs and reinforced the school's reputation as one of the United Kingdom’s leading centers for art and design education.
