Interior Design & Architecture Week, held at London’s Old Truman Brewery in July 2016, formed part of the renowned Free Range graduate showcase, one of the United Kingdom’s largest exhibitions of emerging creative talent. The event brought together final-year students from universities and design schools across the country, presenting innovative projects in interior design, interior architecture, spatial design, and architectural practice. Set within the industrial surroundings of Brick Lane’s historic brewery complex, the exhibition provided a dynamic platform for young designers to display their ideas to industry professionals, employers, and the public. The 2016 edition highlighted a wide range of themes, from adaptive reuse and sustainable design to experimental approaches to public space and contemporary living. Visitors were able to explore conceptual models, detailed drawings, digital visualizations, and immersive installations that reflected the changing priorities of architecture and interior design education. By fostering direct engagement between graduates and the creative industries, Interior Design & Architecture Week demonstrated the vitality of new design thinking and reinforced the Old Truman Brewery’s reputation as one of London’s most important venues for showcasing emerging creative talent.
