ICFF - Wanted NY 2013
ICFF and WantedDesign New York 2013 formed one of the most dynamic moments of New York Design Week, bringing together established manufacturers, emerging designers, students, and international studios in a celebration of contemporary design. Founded by Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat, WantedDesign had rapidly become a major platform for discovery, and its 2013 edition marked its third year in New York. Held at Terminal Stores in Manhattan, the event welcomed participants from across Europe, North and South America, Australia, and New Zealand, creating an international forum for new ideas, collaboration, and professional networking. A highlight of the 2013 edition was Launch Pad, a showcase dedicated to emerging designers seeking manufacturers and distributors for market-ready products. The exhibition also featured curated installations, experimental projects, and presentations from design schools, emphasizing innovation and interaction rather than conventional trade-show displays. Running alongside the 25th edition of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), WantedDesign helped establish NYCxDESIGN as a significant global design festival, demonstrating New York's growing influence as a center for contemporary furniture, product design, and creative exchange.
