Dialogues with the Works of the Cerveira Biennial Museum

The 2015 exhibition at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes in Lisbon was titled "Diálogos com as obras do Museu Bienal de Cerveira" (Dialogues with the Works of the Cerveira Biennial Museum). Organized by the Fundação Bienal de Cerveira, the show ran from March 17 to April 17, 2015, and brought together works by 53 Portuguese and international artists. The exhibition served as an important bridge between the rich cultural heritage of the north of Portugal and the capital's art public, giving Lisbon audiences direct access to a collection that is rarely seen outside its home region. During the opening, a presentation was also made of the XVIII Bienal de Cerveira, the oldest biennial in Portugal, which was set to take place from July 18 to September 19, 2015 — making the SNBA exhibition not only a retrospective showcase but also a powerful prelude to that summer's major event.
