So this Space is about the mismatch mystery... Have you ever walked past a historic building and noticed something oddly out of place? That's exactly the feeling I got when strolling by the Egmont building in Copenhagen. This architectural gem is a blend of Nordic Classicism and Art Nouveau. It is obvious it has undergone some changes that must leave observers like me scratching their heads. The windows and doors, those crucial features that often define a building's character, seem to have undergone a modern makeover that stands in stark contrast to the structure's original design. So, what exactly happened to the Egmont building? The new windows and doors appear to be recent additions, creating (in my taste) a visual disconnect with the building's historical aesthetic.
