Villa Anna in KONSTANCIN JEZIORNA in Poland
Konstancin-Jeziorna in the vicinity of Warsaw is a truly unique place. The town has a health resort with a Spa Park, surrounded by a large number of magnificent villas and palaces built around the beginning of 19th century. Many of them – such as this magnificent Villa Anna – has been restored to its glory from the time when it was built around 1905. Villa Anna is an example of Art Nouveau but with a Polish twist, it’s a Polish mansion styled villa (“styl dworkowy“). Many of such mansion houses have wooden verandas, like the one exemplified here by Villa Anna. Very typical for the summer residences of the time, the verandas continue to inspire even today with its astonishing design. As in the past, verandas are very popular not only for its visual attributes – adding verandas to today’s even more modern house constructions offer a practical extension and a natural link between the indoor and the garden.
