Stockholm Public Library /Stadsbiblioteket
A library building in Stockholm designed by Swedish architect Gunnar Asplund. Designed in the form of a rotunda with classical elements and abstract geometrical forms typical for the Art Deco style. The building is one of Asplund’s most important works and a recognizable landmark in the city of Stockholm. It also represents an example of the Nordic Classical movement, knowns as Nordic Classicism, that swept across the Scandinavian countries in the early of 19th century.
